What is Sublative radiofrequency?
Sublative radiofrequency is a fractionated Bipolar Radiofrequency technology which places heat energy effectively into the dermis where it can produce significant dermal impact with minimal epidermal disruption. This technology works from inside out by targeting the layers below the skin surface and stimulate cell regrowth.
How does it work?
Sublative radiofrequency treatment works by depositing bipolar radiofrequency energy into the skin without disrupting the outer layer of the skin. This energy goes underneath the exterior layer of the skin and initiates a healing response which stimulates the body to produce more collagen naturally. The Sublative™ RF applicator is designed to deliver radiofrequency energy to the skin in a fractional manner, via an array of multi-electrode pins. The array delivers bipolar RF energy to the skin. Microscopic zones of epidermis and dermis are thermally ablated in a grid over the skin surface, where non-ablated zones serve as a reservoir of cells that promote rapid healing.
What are the indications for sublative radiofrequency?
The following are some of the skin conditions that can be treated using sublative radiofrequency:
Moderate to severe acne scarring
What are the benefits of Sublative radiofrequency?
What can you expect during the treatment?
During the procedure, the patient may experience a warm or pricking sensation. An application of topical anaesthetic prior to the procedure minimizes this sensation. Sublative radiofrequency treatment is usually performed in 3 treatment sessions scheduled 4 to 6 weeks apart.
What are the side effects of Sublative radiofrequency?
Sublative radiofrequency has no serious side effects. There are some temporary mild side effects
